You must cross the hard valley's to reach incredible sunrises.
You must cross the hard valley's to reach incredible sunrises.

Six weeks ago, I set a new standard: wake up early, read, journal, train. I had a clear reason—a vision of the person I want to become—and it lit a fire.

But now? The fire’s not out, but the wood’s damp. The novelty is gone. The routine has become… routine.

And I’m tired.

This is the part we don’t talk about enough. We preach habit formation and transformation like it’s just about clarity and willpower. But there’s a third piece: the valley, the moment between starting and succeeding when the energy dips and doubt creeps in.

This morning I found myself wanting to plan, to re-map the strategy. I know myself well enough to know that sometimes I use planning to avoid doing.

So I paused.

What if this fatigue isn’t a flaw in the plan?

What if it’s part of the plan?

What if the grind is the price of admission for a new way of being?

Maybe week six isn’t a reason to pivot. Maybe it’s the exact point where change begins to stick.

And maybe—just maybe—this is what transformation actually feels like.
